Juliana is a lifelong language lover who speaks eight languages and founded Language Mindset, a fun online school for kids. She created the Salt and Pepper Language Adventures storybook series to make learning new languages exciting. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys horseback riding, snowboarding, and embroidery.

Lauren is a University of Alabama graduate with a double major in Italian and Studio Art. She studied abroad in Florence, where she fell in love with Italian language and culture. A talented illustrator, she co-published a bilingual children’s book about frogs in Brazil. When she’s not drawing, she enjoys Italian food, travel, and time with family — and she’s excited to share her love of Italian with young learners.

Debra is a Sworn Translator from Guatemala with over 15 years of experience teaching English and Spanish to students of all ages. Her classes are dynamic, interactive, and tailored to each learner’s goals. Outside the classroom, she teaches Hawaiian Kenpo Karate and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, sharing her passion for growth and confidence wherever she goes.

Momooko is a native Japanese teacher with a professional degree from AFTE in Japan. Passionate about language and culture, she makes lessons interactive with drawings, printouts, and games. Outside of teaching, she loves running, swimming, hiking, and reading manga and books. Her goal is to make learning Japanese fun and meaningful for every student.

Helga is a dedicated German educator with over 11 years of experience teaching at international schools, including Von Humboldt and the Austrian Schools in Guatemala. With a background in curriculum development and early childhood education, she inspires a love for languages in every lesson. A proud mom of two, she enjoys reading, movies, board games, and good coffee.

Gloria is a native of Taiwan and a certified Mandarin Chinese teacher (PreK–12) through the Oklahoma Education Board. With degrees in Anthropology and Computer Science, she blends creativity and logic in her lessons. Gloria loves sharing Chinese language and culture through music, stories, and fun activities. Outside teaching, she enjoys piano, Chinese dramas, and traveling — having visited over 40 U.S. states and 20 countries.

Ikuko was born and raised in Tokyo and has lived in both Japan and the U.S. With experience as a bilingual interpreter and National Park Service volunteer ranger, she brings cultural depth and creativity to her Japanese lessons. She teaches through songs, stories, and traditions that connect language to everyday life. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, nature photography, and hula dancing.

Kyrie discovered her passion for French at nineteen while working as a nanny in Paris—a life-changing experience that sparked her love for the language. After earning her doctorate in nineteenth-century French literature from UC Davis, she taught French to college freshmen. Kyrie blends grammar with culture in her lessons, bringing French music, art, and social media into the classroom—and she even has a curated Spotify playlist to share!
